+1 on that. Leave it that colour (it'll be more unexpected it being quick if it beige!). Matt black is overdone anyway and besides, that 300 is WAAAY too much of a minter to do that to! End of the day, its your car, but I wouldn't do it either.

Fantastic find dude, £350 for that, its very clean! Stiffen it up and lower it, but don't "tramp drift" it, if you know what I mean. Like I said, its way to good a condition vehicle to do that. By all means look after it and drift it, just don't tramp drift it!

Just my two cence, you can completely ignore what I say, I'm not going to come find you! welcome to the forum too. :D

i hear what your saying am thinking in the future of converting to f7p purely for bit more poke not keen on fuel injection but it would be better on mpg with injection rather than running bike carbs. i might just leave it the same colour no one would ever think its modded if its original lol

heh heh, exactly my point! "oh, it's just a beige volvo" says the guy in the corsa next to you . . . BWAAAAAAPPP!!! "AH! No it isn't!!! WTF?!"

The look on his face would be priceless! Even better would be if you kept the standard wheels. Ultimate sleeper!

I'm F7ing mine at the mo, going for injection, as I wanted the efficiency. Can't beat the carbed sound though!

Hi mate.
As above. The colour is great but then every man to his own.
You got yourself a lot of car for not much money. Good luck.
Cheers Mark. sm4

Have you heard an F7R on a ricer filter ;) Could always go for throttle bodies too.

That looks like an absolute bargain for that price and far to clean to mess with the paintwork! Make any mods good quality and go for the sleeper look in my opinion. If you do swap the engine and want rid of the old one, let me know, I have a 1.7 thats done 130,000. It runs fine but I expect it's a little tired compared to yours! The carb can cause problems, although mines been ok. I get the impression many people here prefer the 1.4 or the 2.0. I find the 1.7 reasonably good on fuel with a bit more power and less noise on the motorway than the 1.4. I get 33 to 38 mpg at 60-70mph. More power would of course be welcome :)

Personally I'd leave the whole thing alone apart from the wheels, as it's so uncommon to find one in that condition and that mileage. I found a Mk1 and intend to totally modify it, but it is a bit of a scruffy wreck so I feel justified in doing that, as otherwise it would never see the road again!

It's your car of course and so you can decide, good luck with it!

Indeed, if I could pass them by a scruit I'd have them on mine. Fake has a induction cone filtery ricer style thing, sounds pretty awesome as much as I always have taken the mick out of people with them :D I'm pretty certain it's justified with the couple of extra horses.

That looks very nice man.

If it was mine, I'd keep the paint standard. Less pulls by the LAPD, and you wont look like too much of a "try-hard".

Undercover Ninja style FTW.

It looks like a nice original car. Its a shame that you'd buy one in this condition and then consider painting it matt black when there are loads of shabby examples around. Still, its your car and I suppose on a positive note the more genuine cars that get modded the more the values will increase for cars which haven't been messed with. It works for me...
