I hung onto the back of a GTO (not pontiac) up to about 100 in the vario, but then I bottled it.

He did several double takes in the rear view as he tried to blast away.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution uhm, 3, 4, 5 what them numbers were on 2004? On wet racetrack, he was fast on straights, but awful slow at braking and corners and I did gained him on every lap, however he did drove to paddoc before I could actually overtake him, but I had faster lap times so it does count, yes?

I don't streetrace, not even on traffic lights, real men take it to track and as I'm past the age when everyone called me a kid, what can I do?

I'd like to see the V70R on a tigher track. I suspect it'd be a complete mess. Plus I'm actually surprised a standard T5 is much faster than a Clio 16v, suspect driver Surely they only weigh about 850-900kg? If that's the case similar power to weight.

This makes me cringe...

No debate there...I was suffering through the second-gear chicanes. Most vaguely major tracks are fast enough to favour the V70R, though. Cadwell is the only exception which springs to mind. The Clio driver is an experienced track-day enthusiast, and it had Wilwood 4-pots...but lacked grunt. I'd have been in trouble at the Haynes track, don't get me wrong...but I was doing 120mph at the end of the start/finish straight at Combe, whereas you're doing well to get out of second gear on the Haynes track.

theyre pretty nippy them invacars, I tried to beat one on a mountainbike..

Just streeto and the traffic light grand prix for me I'm afraid. I've had a few things though, MR2 Turbo, 150 CDTi Vectra, 2.0 Turbo Saab, EP3 CTR are worthwhile mentions. The 300 pulls alright considering.
