Cool cheers guys ya it took me 10 odd hours over three days to do it . I did think of getting Adam to do it but that would off been too easy lol I wanted to have a go myself.

My down pipe won't even go in lol I got the manifold on but the down pipe won't even go in lol

I have it booked for the 30th of this month for a new exhaust downpipe but I can't get there ATM as j have no inlet lol

cheers dude well yea basically spent the day pottering around with the car so i started with the clocks i bought sorting them out and fitting the vss to it too.

so i ripped i out the old one:)
Image

my current one on the left which is only 15k old as it was replaced with a new one and the one i bought with the extra dials.
Image

i wanted to keep as much of the original clocks as possible as they looked brand new still seeing as they had only done 15k so i stripped the old clocks down for what i needed and transferred the parts.
Image
Image

the finished article
Image
Image

this is the vehicle speed sensor that stops the car from revving when you stop after driving hope i wired it up right lol
Image

i fitted that to the clocks and put everything back together, turned the ignition on and everything worked so i hope that's a good sign:D
Image

i also fitted the map sensor to the blower box as i thought it would be the best location so i could run the vaccum of the inlet manifold
Image

also spent an hour or two tidying up the wiring loom as it was a mess when i left it yesterday
Image
Image

so for now the wiring is 100% complete :D so happy but waiting on the inlet as that's what's stopping me from starting it:(

i know the econ needs a vaccum to work so i can sort that but i have read the outside temp gauge needs a sensor?how do i do the wiring?

Nice work.

It's easily done, but it would appear your dash warning light strip has been put in the wrong way round, handbrake and oil warning etc are on the left usually  .

This is starting to look like a very neat install, wrap that wiring up in tape and it'd look nearly factory :)

Really liking the attention to detail that's going into this and often missing from people trying to do valvers on the cheap and with as little effort as they can get away with.

Get some heatshrink on that speed sensor though!

MCHUDD - whys that does it help the car much? wish i took it of intact now on that one in the scrappy instead of ripping it apart lol

so thought id start on my exhaust today
Image
Image

i got the downpipe for the valver engine to chop up as it didnt fit for hell lol. i measured it,chopped it and tacked it up.
Image
Image

but it didnt fit :( so had to cut it up a couple more times to get it to fit but i got there lol
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

had to chop and turn the flange(lol) around 180 degrees as it was facing the wrong way
Image
Image

the finished article :D
Image

thats all i can do atm as i need more exhaust as i can use exhaust from another clio so the flanges(lol) will mate up lol oh aswell i fitted the arb so all thats left is

1.finish exhaust
2.get inlet back and fit
3.start car :D woop woop

right well had some time after work to work on the exhaust

i went to my local scrappy and picked up some exhaust parts so i could fabricate my second section of my downpipe which resulted in hours of more work lol

i got some parts from renault for the downpipe as i never got the nuts and springs with it lol
Image
Image

well i got there in the end :D
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

the finished article made out of a saxo vtr mid section, clio 1.2 down pipe and a volvo 340 downpipe lol
Image

so me finishing the exhaust means that all i have left is literately the inlet which im still waiting on :(
