It's happened

Post by petefarrell360 » 13 May 2005 12:38 am

Well Guys, just to let you all know, I've been involved in an accident with my Red 360 GLT. Luckily no one was badly hurt, and all involved walked away. The car will probably be a write off, but I'm hoping to salvage what I can. All I can say is, seat belts do indeed save lives. Drive carefully everyone.

the crash

Post by brad360 » 13 May 2005 05:15 am

I would be interested to hear what happened and see the damage.

Take it easy, all you young hooligans... (I'm not suggesting anyone was at fault)

(I'm not old enough to have driven my car when it was new, but old enough to mostly drive like a granny)

Cheers Guys. Well, I'm not really in any position to drive on medical grounds and to be honest, it's not a high priority for me. Thanks for the tip off Hugh, but as you probably know, there are enough sat in my garden already! Thanks Mick, I'll speak to you later then.

Crikey! I'm terribly sorry to hear about this Pete. I'm glad you're OK, and wish you a speedy recovery from whatever injuries you may have suffered.

Heh, looks like you'll have to play a little 'eenie-meenie-miney-mo' in your back garden pretty soon :D

Sorry to hear that Pete, the good thing is I suppose that everybody walked away.

Its a salutary tale warning all of us that are on the roads what the dangers are.

Get better soon.

Thanks everyone, luckily the other driver was only really shaken, I've only a few cuts and bruises. Andy, you are very right, we often forget just how dangerous the roads are. Drive safely.

Yeah, I know because my Mum recently had a crash in the new (3yr old) V40. There are still solictors letters flying about because the other party are claiming 'neck pain' in an attempt to get dosh and of course the disputes about liability too. :?

Anyway, glad to hear you're alright and not too shaken up I hope.

I hope you can nab as many bits off the car as possible before the insurance scrap it :)

Sorry to hear about the news Pete, but the main thing is that no-one was hurt. Glad you're ok and all the best with sorting out insurance business.
