I finally joined the VOC forum the other day but have since noticed some very heated debates with many people taking moral high grounds, is it always like that?
I did make a post, not sure if you should have really now :/

There is less of a chilled atmosphere there than there is here certainly. I've heard at least 50% of the admin/mods are pretty damn sound though

Could it be number of members?
I have observed certain thing in life, when there is more people opinions become more absolute and there seem to be less room for alternate views to subject. Maybe it has something to do with hormones and laws of nature, but smaller groups perhaps keep each one of more valuable for group's survival where in bigger crowd it turns so that only strongest are needed so nature puts up hormone production making alterations to human behavior.
It is however amusing to follow how some are completely unaware of those mechanism and are completely quided by their emotions like a puppets because of that.
Or then it is something else, but that is what I put my money on.

Spot on Jani, it's just 5 or 6 people all trying to take moral high ground when they are missing the point. They should be sat in a field talking about cars. Or fixing cars, or driving cars. Or, even, if they are that way inclined, polishing cars. Each to their own.
Just not all trying to be ITG's

I dont get on much TBH. Maybe I should. But there seems to be longstanding tinternet grudges and squabbling gallore.
I know RR stand firmly against this kind of jive (if its not possitive and about cars, its locked and falls away)
I think V3M strikes a well enough happy medium though.

I once went on. First topic I read was about how Muslims are responsible for everything with posts underneath agreeing. I've never pressed the red X so quickly.

It goes something like this...
Car:
Driver:
As for the VOC forum stuff...there is a small group of rather vocal individuals with opinions I find thoroughly distasteful. In the interests of free speech, we can't really exclude them, must as I'd rather like to. To be fair, it's a very heavily trafficked forum, and I'm pleased to report that although it's an irritation, it only represents a small proportion of what goes on there. I wouldn't let it put you off...just stay out of the lounge, as that's where most of the people with too much time on their hands like to lurk...
cheers
James
