Hi all
Well I am very pleased to share with you 300 series lovers that our "young lady" passed her MOT today. After a 5000 mile European tour (on the 1first day in Rennes, France, we unfortunately got rear ended, the french van was a write off, our "young lady" just took it. Barely a scratch. We were convinced that by Friday it was going to be on ebay to be sold as a spare or repair!! No, to our shock and amazement it just needed 4 new tyres, headlight adjustment and a bulb. Whoo whooo. Hope you 300 series owners have a nice experience with yours. What has yours needed this year? Hopefully very little like ours.....
Take care and all
P.S. We are going to take her to Africa for Christmas!!

New suspension top cups/bearings/mounts.
For Fake that's a huge achievement and a really good list

Africa sounds great mate! I really want to do some travelling in a car some time soon. I reckon I will go for one of those scumball rally type affairs initially though.
as for the 360, she's in pieces at the moment, but last MoT it failed on front springs dislocating (my fault for cutting them) and emissions a tiny bit too high. Removal of the air filter and standard height springs and all was well. Not bad to say prior to me buying it from a dealer with what I suspect to be a dodgy MoT it had been laid up for around 16 years!
Oh yeah, I also cleaned out the carb and fitted a new fuel pump, but that was prior to any MoT in my hands.

Mine needed a pair if wiper blades and a washer jet unblocking, not bad for 89' I guess, no rust at all either

New coil spring (old one cracked). Changed the pair and new shocks and painted struts/inside domes while I was there...one thing leads to another! Also put in new bottom ball joints.

Rear wheel cylinders, new rear copper hard line, H-brake cables, brake bleed.
The ONLY thing I couldn't test at home were the breaks. Figures.

Not having a go, as I mash the keyboard a lot too, but br
eaks are for t
ea. Brakes are for stopping. But you (k)new that! Damned homophones!
The only reason I mention it now and again is that when it comes to doing a search, it helps find things.
