Here temperature has been proper for snowing for a long time, but it has not been snowing when temps have been low, when temps have risen it has been raining water.

However last night it did snow and still there is white layer outside, if night gets cold it might live for tomorrow, but I doubt that, forecast is +2C tomorrow, but after that highest temp in long term forecast is 0 so certainly winter is about to start.

One night here was -6C, not much colder this autumn yet, hopefully next month is not as cold as it was at previous year.

Oh yes, few days ago we got that 20cm snow, last night bit more, -12C temps at night, but has been even up to 0 at day, one day it was -6C at warmest time.

Moving snow is breaking my back once again.

It has been snowing quite a lot. Now it's settled a bit and temperatures are dropping, Around -15C today but forecast says -20C or even -30C and below for the next week. :-P

It's quite a "snow rally" at the capital city Helsinki again. If it snows 10cm at the city they have to run 15 000 truck loads of snow out of the city to the snow dump sites. There's just no room in the city for the snow to be ploughed anywhere. With the current capacity it takes about 8 days to clear that 15 000 truckloads if it doesn't snow more during that time. Usually it does so trucks and tractors have been running the "snow rally" 24/7. :-P

According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the snow depth at Helsinki area seems to be around bit over 50cm currently.

The snow piles elsewhere, where there is room to plough, are also starting to get quite big.. Took this pic while refilling the S90 today, normally you can see the road behind the gas station.

Haven't seen a flake here yet....very strange indeed.

Normally by now Vermont should have received 30 to 60 cm but nothing.
Not that I am complaining you understand. The less, the better for me.

i like having snow around, much fun going sideways in the volvo :D
and with some good winter tyres you almost get to wherever you like
i use michelins x-ice, works awesome :D
other people here have some experience with other tyres? i have only used some crapy studded tyres and these

and i really have to film and get a movie up of some snow skidding

-10 to -30, loads of snow, it was every day 10cm or so for a long time, then it got cold, just few days ago -24C and tomorrow is forecasted to be as cold too.

Has been pretty much normal winter here, well cold did came bit early, but luckily it has not stayed very cold for long periods of time.
