Looks nice and agro dude.
3 doors are for winners.
As are creased front wings.

-2 or -3 " drops are the max without silly work.

Welcome to the boards old bean.

cheers not sure about the creased wing its growing on me, but as i drive it i have no need to look at that side, the drivers side is definaterly its best side.

what do you think then 2" or 3" ?

mates are tell me go 3" but im not convinced

Wheels are made by smiths, (so the center cap say's) scrap yard job and spared satin black which came out a little grey but looks perfect for the car.

Looks great! definitely get it lower though. Up to you with the height, personally I would go for 3" at the front but I live in west wales which is famous for its flat roads....

oh yes! I love it :D I really want a td5. Maybe when I graduate. Our parents have one and its machine! Any ideas what caused the loss of compression?

THIS!!!
on the front you will struggle to get more than 3 coils cut off (i guess thats around 4inch drop from all my previous lowerings on these, and ive done many!)
however my current car has -3" springs on the front plus half a coil off on cut bumps and it only just doesnt catch the wheel well - however thats on 155/80r13 which are humongous. with smaller profiles such as 165/55 you get an extra 2-3 inches of clearance ( maybe more ) heres a pic of mine with current lowering and small profiles and there is wads of room to go much lower once smaller tyres are on :)
Image

must say though the profile on the front is the minimum that looks ok on these anything smaller (175/50) just looks stupid imo

hope that helps,
also - is that a mk1 gti duckbill spoiler on the front? looks spot on!

175/50/13's look good, if you go low enough :D I.e Coilies, not bumpstops :)

P.S - Yes that is a duckbill, the GTi one, not the smaller version :) Thomas...............

yeah thats the plan here, got the coilies off a golf and a set of struts off my old 1.7 - combining the two at some point when i get bored of skyrim haha. the sr360 looks awesome because its low enough, but seen too many "slammed" cars running 175/50s with only a slight lowering the wheels just look lost
