360 Redline!

Post by bodejodel » 10 Jun 2005 01:07 pm

Anyone seen one of these before?

Someone in the V300C bought this one in Austria, it's pretty much full options, including aircon, parking heater, and the "normal" stuff like gauges and leccy stuff...
The GLT badge is wrong, the redline tailgate was swapped for a GLT one...

Well, if I'm right in identifying my white G reg 360 GLT as a redline, then nah the spec is nothing special! Foggy confirmed that with the 360 GLT logo on the rear door bump strips that pretty much makes it a 360 redline, not that they were badged redlines apparently. It's just a 360 GLT 89 spec, so electric mirrors, windows, high level rear brake light. No air con, extra gauges or recirc! Probably just using up some redline parts, stickers and stuff!

Lol, well indeed, they are special, but there's nothing particularly specail about the spec! Although the 340 redline and blueline seats are quite nice with the GLT style seats with the coloured piping and the bluelines get the extra gauges!

Well, only by one currently Mick, you know how miserable the UK temperature is, just not how uneconomically you are driving! Your getting there, you'll have the other one one day.

Yonina's boyfriend is the new owner of the austrian 360 redline.
it has aircon, servo steering, interior pre-heating equipment, headlamp wipers, a lot of electric stuff and something really unique for a 300; a closed-loop regulated injection system (with lambda sond/ oxi sensor).

The 360 had a lambda sonde too, it was on the B200F engines.

sorry guys, but the lamda sond is something you want.....

the lamba-triggered mixture correction really only kicks in at constant speeds. it makes sure there is weight ratio 14 to 1 air/fuel at those circumstances, it smoothes the running of the engine and can save quite a lot of fuel.

some carburetted engines are designed to run lean in such circumstances (like the B172K) so they can be even more fuel-economical. but there it DOES cost power.

Greetings Wouter
