hi,
checked the oil today, while its been in storage, someones stolen all my oil, and filled it back up with treacle!
Bugger!!!!!!!!!!1 :lol:

Does it tast ok? :lol:

A oil change would be well recomended on a car that has stood so long. Dont forget to use a volvo oil filter.

I tend to use Volvo oil filters too, but there are other makes which have the all-important non-return valve too. I believe Bosch, Mann, QH have them. Mahle, Halfords and the other really cheap stuff don't ...

I thought mahle was good?? i paid quite alot for mylast one and it was quite alot bigger than the others. hmmm il have re check filters out for my new engine :?

No, Mahle is definitely what I'd call cheap 'n' cheerful ;-) At least the OC xxx range is which is usually on offer for the 300-series. No non-return valve so the filter drains when you turn off the engine.

1981 Volvo 345 GLS: 107.000 km
1982 Volvo 343 DLS: 251.000 km (becomes more and more... 35 km a day).

1985 340 DL 'RAI' special (Streepje): 81.000 km
1985 340 DL 'RAI' special (Lijntje): 52.000 km

Streepje already had the engine, clutch and vario swapped, Lijntje had been in storage from 2001 till 2008. Both got their registration on 22 may 1985.

Here some pictures, 2 years old but the body didn't change that much. I got the car since 93 with 110 kkm, ride a lot until 96 when the Turb diesel entered home, then it was my 3rd car until 03, then from 03 to 06 the car was on the Yeu Island (in front of Noirmoutier / Vendée).

theres not many cars that will take a child and two german shepherd dogs comfortably in the boot!

looks really nice. black glts always look the best.
what country are you in?
