Was this for cars or were french crap allowed too? I have got mine to be mobile again.

70-78MPG(UK) with my Citroen ZX that has been aerodynamically modified. Usually driving around 45-50mph, so even grannies shake fist as they overtake me, but I saw 1.7€/litre diesel price recently so I really don't care no matter what others think, I can't afford to drive so fast.

Oh yes just recently found out that rear brake is binding, so I hope to get good improvement to mileage after that is sorted out, over 80MPG should be possible, if weather is good, maybe even 90, but as I drive so little it might take quite long time to have another fillup...

Template is something along the lines of:
Owner:Me
Model: ZX DTurbo wagon/estate
Engine: 1.9l turbo diesel, XUD9TE
Gearbox/Diff (if known):
Year: 1997
Modifications: RamAir, mini kammback aerodynamic helper at top of trunk lid, partial grille block, sponge under throttle pedal, tires at maximum allowed pressure, wastegate is stuck shut, so it has as much boost as turbo generates, but I'm not really using boost, rear seats removal.

Your Vario is on spritmonitor dude, get the ZX on their too, much easier to keep track of that way.

I still have half tank, so that is bit over 700 and my current driving is around 60 in a month, it takes about a year, year and half to empty a tank at this rate, with vario that is even less than that, hence no proper fillups yet :roll:

Did you tick the "partial fuel up" tick? It's easy to go back and edit I believe.

Yes I did, which is why I'm puzzled that it's wrong. Maybe it'll correct itself on the next fuel up.

I did wrote up all french crap fillings that I had kept bookings into spritmonitor, there are few quite bad ones too, lot of snow, Gislaved tires + winter diesel are really killing my fuel economy and that brake binding did not really helped either, which I managed to fix at weekend, not too fast action here :D

Had opportinity to drive bit more recently as didn't have to pay for fuel myself, so got 73.37 mpg (UK) tank while brake still binding and aerodynamic improvements were not yet fully installed, actually there are still few things that need to be done for that department, bottom of car needs something to make it more flat and rear tires needs some air guidance behind them.

Rear wheel bearing is quite stiff, I barely can turn hub with brake drum removed, not sure what is going on there, but I need to source new bearing cup, then I can open it up and see if there are only cooked grease, it might give 0.001 mpg more when sorted, or then not.

Long time average is now 65.7 mpg (UK), might get another hit at winter time again, or then I drive painfully slow with illegal tires, or am not driving at all, depends from things.

With current mods however wind is not felt, also if big lorry comes from opposite direction that wind blast is not really causing slowdown at all, when compared to without mods. If there would be dry, I could do some estimations about Cd with coast down tests.

Oh yes, I use only winter tires, around the year, lowest rolling resistance, however I have only two Viking contact 5 tires left, two have blown, one by construction site rock and one just started to leak from several spots (tread area) when I drove 1km. Those are quite worn though, under 3mm tread left, would love to get new set, but not possible now, with such new set I would probably get well better side of 80mpg now, my target is under 3l/100km in good conditions, well, some day maybe if car does not rust away before that :p

Thought I'd bring this topic up again, as I just got a surprising 30mpg out of my last tank.

I think the tall diff makes a hell of a difference on the motorway. I'd like to see how many miles I can get when I'm trying to be fuel efficient! (This was 80% motorway but I was doing an average of 90 on the way back).

OOOH a GSX2. Lucky sod. I had a '78 GS C-Matic Pallas once, awesome car. Just the gearbox let it down and I was going to GSA 5 speed it. I also owned an Ami Super Service van, lowered and fitted with the 1299cc non eco GSA engine and long ratio 5 speed box. Now that could fly!
