I spent an enjoyable morning in Lakes breakers yard and remembered to take a few pictures of their 300 stock this time:

This beige mk2 has been stripped of most of its useful parts, although the interior trim is still intact (albeit very mouldy). Apparently it was a 1-lady-owner from new car, and has been there for at least 4 years.

Very useful pictures there ... They bash their cars about a fair bit, don't they?

Did they have any more 300s, or were those all the ones you saw? Lakes isn't far from me, when I'm in the UK ...

Cheers

Tom

Cheers Mark.

No, that was the total 300 stock apart from one fairly intact 1990 model around the front which I forgot to photograph, and that's quite a few more than there has been for a while. They had a huge clear-out sometime early last year, so all their 240s (parts for which I aso need) have gone apart from two :-(

And to answer your query about the sunroof on the E-reg special edition, it was a normal sunroof not a pop up as I remember seeing the twisty sunroof handle. It does look plastic in the picture from the angle, but it is metal. It did look like the back end of it had been taped shut though, but I'll take a better look for you next time.
