NEW TO VARIO VOLVO 340 1986!!

How do people, i have purchased a nice volvo 340 1986 ''c'' dl auto 1.4.

what a strange thing to drive, i have got use to it now, and got it for an absolute bargin, plus classic insurance on it too so good all round!!

do these cars tend to be very thirsty?? £15 of fuel, has done me about 55 miles?? she does rev high most of the time.

as i am new to varios, just wanted to know if tyhis is the norm.

Good to hear it, do you have any pics? :)

They can be quite thirsty but just ensure that the CVT system is working correctly first as they do have their foibles!

thank you. does rev high and is going at 3000-4000rpm at 40 mph, so i know these is a problem.

and this is the car i have purchased, i seem to be finding pics on google images if i type in my reg ???

seems to be few volvo buffs had this vario machine and its never been modified, changed etc

but would like to know how to sort these pics out.

Check my signature below, they shouldn't be much worse than that. I've no idea on how much fuel is in £15 these days and not inclined to work it out.

Hi

To show pics, you should upload them on a photo hosting site, such as photobucket or flickr (just sign up for free), and then use the IMG links they give you to each picture in order to link the pictures onto the forum.

There are lots of useful posts around this site about varios with high revving engines, from my own experience it's probably a loose or broken electrical connection somewhere in the system.
