Manual '77 343 in Russia

I came across this when I was googling yesterday, a Russian 343, 1977 model year, with what looks like a retro-fitted manual gearbox. Thought others may be interested/horrified.

Rear wheels from a Renault Fuego / R18 and a gear knob from an '80s VW. Looks interesting :-)

If I were a Russian, I'd convert to manual too, unless I was able to do the CVT servicing myself ...

That car has done well to last that long up in Rusky land.
I would have gone for a proper gear knob though :lol: :lol: :lol:
