Autocad and 300 series...

Post by Duvel78 » 12 Mar 2013 01:04 pm

This morning I was working on a project, then I noticed the cars symbolized near the building on the plan...

I think there is a BIG chance that the car in the middle is a 300!! 300 power! sm97

I'm pretty sure you're right, and interestingly the 300 is the most detailed drawing too.

Spot on...with quarterlights as well. 340pw

However: What no door mirrors? No wonder parking spaces are so narrow these days.

Hi Lads.
Looks like a mk1 345 with a snow cap.
Colour it yellow and call it Bannana
Cheers Mark.

I keep thinking of trying to make an Inventor model. It'd make the current project a lot easier.

Are you pretty ninja Chris? Maybe take some parts each and make a start? Problem as I see if is all the panels are complex sheet pressings to which we don't have the drawings :(, which is why I've never started

No, no interest in every part, but the shell would be useful for mocking things up and could be given to Jani to put into his rFactor mod (though the current is already very good)

The problem I have getting my head round is the complex detailing in the panels (the bulkhead for example... that's just not simple to model!)

Can't be a mk1 as the bonnet goes all the way to the front. It must be an early mk2 but but it is missing the indicator repeaters on the wings.
