I've had numerous people say about how "gay" and "girly" my car looks... I don't see how though? I thought it'd be mistaken for an old person's car, but the other night some inbred f***head told me "Wow, you're car looks like a Holden Gemini crossed with... gay! HARHAR I'M A FARKWIT!"

Am I the only one who cops such remarks? A few of my friends tell me theres nothing wrong with it, but I'm not sure if they're just being nice or not. Then theres the friends who honestly (but friendly-ly) joke about how much of a crapbox it is.

I don't mind too much about this, but i guess I am a bit self-conscious, and it does bother me a little bit when people say things like this.

All of my mates thought my 360 sucked. then i let them drive it. it became "ok" then my 16's and duckbill went on. now its "mean as" and "a mean little turbo looking thing." drop it with some rim's and a full 2.5 inch exhaust.

These fuckheads who called it gay aren't my friends, they're just some random people who were a couple of grades older than me at school a few years ago that were walking down the street at 1am on a Sunday morning near the pub. But they are fuckheads though haha

Word means completely different thing these days of course, like a hacker, which used to mean person that is skilled with computers, until silly media spoiled that too.

I think that reporters must miss some parts as they can write so poorly from so wide range of things, how anyone can be so little knowing?

Anyway I don't drive car for others, I drive it for myself, so I don't care a bit what others think.

However my ugly modifications of french crap did help me recently to make better impression in interview as interviewer spotted the car and got curious about it, when I explained she was one very excited redhead

Anyway majority of people is not capable of thinking straight, it can be even the colour that is giving them some totally braindead ideas so it is pretty safe to ignore majority most of the time, it is just some random noise.

And there is nothing better than outhandling those big wheel fwd craps with standard 13" 'bicycle tires', ridiculous really this big wheel fashion, especially when brakes are tiny apples at middle, just useless unsprung mass that kills the ride, performance and gives only minor feeling of better handling, but not much true gain in handling. Rally cross cars used tiny wheels, had soft suspension and would run circles around any of those teenager big wheel uglyness, accelerate faster and still offer better comfort.

Actually, I've just remembered another gay car....

I would hump the shit right out of that gay Hillman.

I copped a load of shite in the day for mine, they where not as cool as they are now with the drifting+classic image. I got even more laughs for the 940. The friends that got driven in either of them learned to respect them though.

They did handle well and the torque used to surprise people.

In my college days my old 343 got the nick-name of the Indian taxi due to dangling hippy type stuff from the rear view mirror and window stickers!!!

Back in the 90's it's brown gay 70's interior was so aniti-modern it was well recieved by most, and it's Mk1 rareness set it apart from most grandad cars even then!

It was generally loved and respected by others, although lack power and belt drive were not generally accepted as quite normal it just added to weird novelty value!

I traded on novelty crusty banger image rather than a boy racer image and after all, in 1991 just to be a student and have your own car and be able to run it was a big enough thing.....make and model were almost irrelevent, except for the mature/richer students for which it would have been a major come down!!! But that was the spirit of the time.....road trips through the night to all night parties...we had a thumbs up and smiles once from a jacked up beetle while 5 up on the M1 after a mad trip down south for a mid summer party...good enough for me
