Who likes Yaris's's's's?
Nobody! Thats who.

I'd better buy one then.

Looks o.k. doesnt it?
Until you look a bit closer!!

Reversed into a bollard.
Image

Crashed into?? Lots of paint missing and exposed primer, somehow?
Image

Dragged along a wall.
Image

Wonder how much a spray job to cover that primer up would be?

Image

Fixed.

On to the wheels.
I bet Wellers dont clear the front calipers.

Better invest in spacers then.

POKE!!!

Well with the front wheels protruding an extra 20mm, I'm probably going to need to cover them with something.

Pokey

Add Pikey. "Hhmm, yes. That looks about right. Pass the gaffer tape and drill,"

Add rivetts.
With varying levels of sucess.

Bit of superglue, bit of swearing, and all done.
I know its traditional to roll with 4 arch flares, but theres only poke at the front, so I only need two.
Necessity over style.

The Yaris is hillarious and I would reccomend one to anyone as a dailly. Theyre like a K11, but with a bit more style.
45 Mpgs round the doors, well equipped, cheap as anything to tax/insure/run, and highly reliable.

Still not liking Yaris's's's?

They also have an hilarious OMG-LCD Clockset, that only the driver can see.

Retro!

Whats next?

Drive it till it breaks.

Awesome. Now CHOP THE SPRINGS!

Liking the wellers and arches VND, functional, yet oddly cool.

I think it looks totally uncool. Which is appealing.

New OMGMOT restrictables say incomplete springs will make a wall fall on you. So fail.

Or am I wrong?

I might get some COMPLETE lowering springs when Ive got some money spare mind.

But I'm trying to save up for a 1.5 Tsport and a Blitz supercharger kit at the moment.

They do mate. The car looks like it gives no fucks at all.
A young woman had it before me. She made all the dents. I don't think she was a very good driver.
She certainly never lifted the bonnet. It took three elbow drops and a falcon kick to unstick the catch.

Women eh?

A friend of me had a similar car, he's a big Yaris fan...

The car was an excellent opportunity for jokes, it was an awful mosterd color, sm42

Toyota's warranty is quite good, the car was 12 years old and they still accepted to repair for free rust damages on sills...

You'll find it helps to de-activate the safety catch, we 300 fans often forget they exist on lesser cars

Edit...I don't mean de-activate safety catch permenantly.....unless you want more dents and a cool smashed windsceen  I mean just remember there is one!

"I don't think she was a very good driver."............You KNOW she wasn't  Lest hope the gearbox had better treatment :P

Well, no matter what idea you get, it will not make it uglier than it originally is. Also I always wondered how they could make doors so clumsy and heavy to use in such a small car.

You have not found boot of it yet? It took me few attempts when I had such as a rental, then I realized that boot was actually that oddly placed rear glove department

343 has a lot more usable space than Yaris. I don't understand why they always make small cars just shorter, when length is hardly an issue at normal parking spots, but width is.

That dashboard was also something I shook my head when I had to drive such, I mean dashboard is gigantic, it certainly is taking some fairly large percent of interior volume, silly modern vehicles

I really doubt that you could kill it if even basic services are made in time. For the price those did cost as new, they were really well done, imo.

They actually had some sort of single model racing series with those at someplace, maybe there is some suspension goodness available for it, basic model Toyotas have always had bit too soft rear suspension for any kind of load or sporty driving from my experience at least. Yaris, several Corollas, Avensis, all suffered from the same issues with rear suspension being way soft.

20 laptops, weeks worth of clothing and stuff, projectors etc. packed in did make them ride quite poorly on our rough roads. Avensis were even Estate version, but not very good still. So just word of warning if you get false ideas of attempting something sporty driving, it is like a limping mule in some situations.

Here one trucker has RHD version of such, 5 door model actually. Old postal office car, seem to last forever, so at least that car should not fail on you.

You need to put shelby stripes and some silly insane angle rear wing on that thing. Also it does need lime green and neon red vinyls, such shaped car kind of needs some way silly things, me thinks

Oh yes, how many clutches there has been on that car? ;)

Nobody knows how many clutches its had dude.
The one that's on is sharp and low though.

Small boot?
Dude the rear seat bases slide forward and fold upwards. There's an amazing amount of space once you fold the back seats against the fronts and lose the rear shelf. Well, a lot of space for a small car anyway. I was quite surprised by the amount of room.
The dash IS huge mind. And it's 50 shades of grey, but without to bumsex.
The 1.0 vvti flutters like a humming bird and busies itself well enough. It's never gonna be happy at 80mph, but super nippy around the city.

I think you're right, they don't die, and cannot be killed.
They're utterly devoid of style or driving engagement, but so utterly dependable and functional that they're impossible not to like.

As a tool to move you around cheaply, they're almost untoppable.
Specially at less than the price of a rough 300.

Like I said mate, I love it.

I think we've made it look.pretty mad now. This can only be a good thing.

Fun to drive too. Extremely short, positive 'box, and Tomy-tronic captain only speedo is a real treat.

I'm a fan of the random stickers and their placement, but this is my favourite part:

But if you fold the seats, you can't torture any of your friends by making them sit at the rear (even it is not hugely cramped for car of it's size there).

I had to use passenger seat and footwell to get all my stuff in, some objects were bit difficult because of their size. But also, Avensis Estate had less usable space than my ZX, which is bit silly as Avensis is bigger segment car, but I can fit all that stuff into boot of ZX without folding seats that required use of rear seats in Avensis and every inch of interior space in Yaris. I used to put same stuff into 360 boot and one bag needed to go at the rear seat, so usable space of 360 is more than Avensis, that is how good 360 is :D

With todays fuel prices 300 is not really a option for daily though, even worse with parts situation and with more years under belt is really making one thinking 300 being bit too uncomfortable too. Hey I have dual springs in my bicycle saddle too, it kind of floats over bumps and potholes, ZX is also quite good in that, I guess that I'm just gotten too old?

When my father got re-married, they did use one relative's Yaris as a wedding car, I had to drive it, bit odd choice of car, but for daily that thing does make lot of sense, but can't say that I would like the car, too modern :P

I have from some odd reason more liking to older Fiat small cars when it comes to small cars. They are generally POS and nobody likes them either, but someway their design is much more pleasing.

You should do this. Knowing you, you probably will, one weekend.

I'm deffo going for a Tsport next mind. I like the idea of more power on the same platform. With better suspenders.
