I just read in a swedish veteran car magazine that there is a guy giving away his volvo 343 variomatic (in mint condition! No rust, 5900km) FOR FREE to anyone who wants it. There is just one problem with the car; the gears doesn't work(sounds like the same vario problem i had in my DAF66). That's the reason why he gives it away to someone who will take care of the car. If I had room for it I would take it!




(Yes, "Remjohan" is a nickname for volvo's with variomatic)
the owner says: "I borrowed the car to my son who told me one day that it doesn't shift anymore! The car is in Edsbyn and is in 99% free from rust."
You have to contact the magazine(red@klassiker.nu) to get in touch with the owner.

Could be interesting if the car is free (and 99% rust free), even if it is a 3200km round trip
