I've just been looking at the log book of my new purchase, and I was wondering what the 's/r' means? The car is a 1990 (89 build) 340 GL s/r

I was wondering about this also - I've got three 400-series Volvos, only 1 is an S/R model...all have a sunroof. The same question was asked on the 480 forum and the general opinion was the same - S/R = sunroof.

But don't Volvo call it a 'moonroof'??

Nah Iddon't buy it. I think this one needs more research.

Hello sir, the only convincing definition I can find for S/R is indeed sun roof. Its not unheard-of for the log book to have mistakes in it and you can contact DVLA to correct you car's details.

I had a bit of bother in the past with an "ERF" moped. Most definately not a commercial, it was an Italjet...

Also had two V5Cs come back altered without asking first. Both for Austin Maxis. They seemed certain they were now Hatchbacks, for years having been recorded as 5dr Saloons. They ARE 5dr saloons. Hatchbacks didn't exist back in the day!

It's a GL in metallic paint. Has a grey coach line down the side too.

Can we see the vin plate + manufacturers plate etc, we must sees it....
