How to make a missing fog-light look good?

Post by williswoody » 25 Jul 2013 03:11 am

Hey guys! Long time no see.

Earlier last year, I posted hereabout how I hit a kangaroo (well, a wallaby) and it left a big dent in the front of my 360, and knocked out one of the fog lights.

I'm just wondering, is there any tools we can use at home that would knock the dent out? It wouldn't be worth it to take it to the panel beater.

Also, the other fog light doesn't work either, so I'm thinking of taking it out so the front looks better. But I was just wondering, is there anything I could put in or "do" to it to make it look better? I've contacted the nearest Volvo parts supplier, and they don't have any fog lights for a 360... does anyone know the part number so I could it up on ebay?

Hi mate.
There are 360 blanking grills that came with
360s with no fog lights.
Cheers Mark.

I have some spare blanks if needed (somewhere). However nothing is going to look good with that. You need to depanel it and take it to a panel beater then weld it back on. They are not that hard to depanel.

There are various techniques to weld on rods and use a rod hammer to pull out dents, otherwise I'd be trying to use bits of wood from either side to knock the dents out to strighten the bottom. The bottom lip is extra strong with 2 layers though.
