The oldest rocker in town

I know there has been comment in the past revealing McHudd as an old rocker!

But who is the oldest - and what's the earliest gig lived through?

I'll kick off - The Doors and Jefferson Airplane at the Roundhouse (Chalk Farm) 1968.
(and I even remembered some of it the day after!)

Mac.

Well my handle is a favourite song. No idea when my first concert was, probably 80s, maybe Def leppard in the Ulster Hall. It was a good decade for cars anyway :-)

I may not qualify to be an old rocker, but my first concert was Status Quo in Llandudno when I was about 15. (Although I went with my parents and my 8-year old brother, so that's a bit less rock'n'roll!).

Hi mac.
You've got me there. I sneaked into my first rock concert at the tender
of 12 back in 1973    to see a band called Mongo Jerry.
They were in the top five at the time with a song called Alright Alright Alright
I have been going ever since :lol: Cantn't wait for Rodger Waters { Pink Floyd }
next month.
Cheers Mark.

Me too Tom. I can't remember if it was the first one, but I did see AC/DC in early 1991.

Saw JP at the Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo). I was very impressed at the time :-)

Orbital in Newcastle 1992...more like oldest raver than rocker!

Others around that time include Ozric Tentacles, Hawkwind and The Prodigy.

Went to Glatonbury in 94, little remembered of that time!!! Towed an old green 1960's caravan with the 343 :)

Would have liked to see Midnight Oil in concert but missed the chance now!

I love hard rock and metal since when i was a teen, but i've never seen a concert of a famous band :( because in the past i hadn't friends that liked this kind of music and the idea of going alone is not so good.

Anyway i go to see tribute bands every weekend, and i'm proud of my wild 70-80 cm long hair and my black Schott Perfecto 8)

I'm glad to find a lot of rockers here 340pw

A couple of years ago i listened a fantastic rock band from Wales here in Vicenza, their name is S.E.X.,does anybody know them? I bought their best of CD,and my favourite is their 80's hit "Rock Star".
