Hello again, I'm Dan, I was on here back in 2011/2012? I owned the Red 340 3 Door, G888 UUD Which now belongs to Theo on here i think? I sold it to a chap in Bristol and he sold it on to Theo :D I liked the car a lot, i believe it was on around 37K Miles when i got it, absolutely spotless!

I met Speedy when i had it aswell and he had a 340 Saloon with the F7R Engine and when i met him i told him i was thinking of selling my 340 which i did the month after, he said to me at the time if i did i'd get another one at some point, he wasn't wrong ;)

For the last year and a half or so i keep an eye on eBay always thinking about buying one but never doing it, until recently, I was after another 3 door 340 or a Saloon 340 in 1.7 Flavor, Anything i found was either too pricey or miles away, i was in no hurry so i waited.

Last friday i spotted a freshly posted Volvo 340 1.7 5 Door Hatch on eBay, Less than 10 Miles away! Apparently 1 Previous owner 23k Miles from new and spent it's whole life in the same place, I had to go and look for pure interest. It was up for bidding and no buy it now so i got over there the day after it was posted to have a look.

Got over there early Saturday morning and the car was as clean and honest as said on eBay, 23K Miles with history, one owner not a single mark on it! Also Full leather interior, Sunroof, Leccy windows, the lot :D If im honest i had a budget of around £1000. I asked him what he wanted, to my suprise he said £600. A bit of haggling later i got him down to £500 :) Well pleased with that.
Put a deposit down and hopefully picking it up this weekend!

Will post pictures of it when i pick it up, current plans are get an MOT slapped on it, Tax it, Insure it and Enjoy it :D

Nice one.

Is that blue?
Is that grey?
My eyes have seen
A better day.

Sorry, a better screen shows its clearly grey and the paintwork looks fab... the first piccy looked blue on the phone. Funny how they swapped the trim panels and steering wheel styles over the years.... I'll understand it one day.

The black trim panels came with the leather interior, I was never that keen on them as they look like DL door cards without any material on them, but the leather makes up for that! :)

Hi Dan, welcome back

That is a lovely 340 you've got, how are you dealing with the heat and the leather seats? ;)

Ahhhhhh that's why, I wondered why mine were all black and no material. You're right leather does make up for it  just wish mine wasn't cracking :(

Hatchback leather :D

I've owned two sets, hated driving in both of them but still epically jealous of it when I see it!

You have indeed, the only time I've seen UUD but I remember it being a stunning shell!

Hatchback leather is a lot rarer than saloon leather and yours looks in great condition. Look after it... you won't easily replace it!

Think you got a bargain, that's worth £1k plus all day long. No surprises it passed, what can go wrong in 23k :D Needs a rear spoiler though ;)
