Hello from me in the UK!
Hi guys, I'm Emma.
I'm in the UK on the Isle of Wight and I finally own a '89 340 GL 1.7, after 2 years of waiting/searching! Been loving the 300 series for quite a while now and lurking here occassionally.
Oh, and at the minute, I'm Standard and proud!

Re: Hello from me in the UK!
Was online so thought it was a bit sad no one had replied / welcomed you yet so: Welcome!
I'm not on here that much but can tell you that you are on THE quintessential Volvo 300 site - some of the people on here are amazing! I won't be able to help you - I'm just a car idiot - but the geniuses will be able to help you. It's also great for parts & various leads on where to get stuff. I'm having to get rid of my 1987 340 ironically but I will still use the site cos it's great for stuff like carburettors as well.
Well done for using one of those smiley faces - I still don't know how to use those!
Good luck with your '89 340 - beautiful car - it's the interior that does it for me - sooo comfortable. Wish mine wasn't falling apart!
Adieu, Volvopandy.

Re: Hello from me in the UK!
Welcome and congrats with the car.
Though more common in the UK a good 1.7 is becoming a "rare" beast in the rest of the world.
Any pics?

Very sorry for the late reply and welcome to the forum - I was keeping my head down after making some odd comments in another thread. Keeping it all bog-standard is definitely the thing to do.
