Hello from Croatia

Post by Soleilnoir » 20 Oct 2015 02:38 am

Hi, my name is Marko. I'm 21 and currently residing in Zagreb. I purchased Volvo 340 diesel in very good condition for a silly amount of money. Here is a photo of the car.

Welcome Marko.
340 Diesels are becoming a rare sight nowadays.
Do you know anything of its history?

Unfortunately, the owner of the car has departed. Volvo was produced in 1989, and his first registration was in 1996, maybe this car was imported, maybe not, I don't know. I'm almost 100% sure that no one in Croatia has this diesel version with 3 doors.
The car was very well maintained by the previous owner although there are few imperfections. Last four years Volvo mostly stayed on a parking lot. Last year the car wasn't started at all, but despite that he started from the very first try.
My neighbour, and also the son of the previous owner called recycling company to pick up the car because he didn't want it since he has nisan micra (lol). I said no to that, bought the car for circa 200€ or 145£ and invested one day in refurbishing. There you go, a short story of me getting my first Volvo :)
