Intro from Andalucia

Post by Bor » 09 Mar 2016 02:38 pm

We are Petrus (father in his fifties) and Bor (son in his teens) and we live in the mountains half an hour above Malaga in car driver's paradise.

Having Dutch roots we are familiar with DAF and appreciate the handling. Quite surprisingly these cars from an entirely flat country are demons in the mountains here.

We own a 55 Marathon Rallye

and are looking to buy a 343 B19 or 360 B200E. Currently negotiating the former.

So much about us.
No we have a specific question
Are the rubbers between the inlet manifolds and the carbs of the R-sport kit available or is there an alternative you know of?

With respect,

Petrus & Bor

Hi Lads and welcome.
That 55 looks great. Volvemania or Daffhoby will be able to help you with your question.
Cheers Mark.

Hi and welcome, that 55 looks great! Do you have any pictures of it in action?

I doubt anything is available for the R-Sport kit anymore. If you post a photo of the part required we might be able to suggest an alternative.

Not quiet action but on the road....

The R-sport part is the black bit between carbs and manifolds:

It is both an adaptor for the mismatcing studs and insulates the float chambers from engine vibrations.
