New Member from New Zealand 360GLT

Post by Spepper24 » 25 Jul 2016 09:09 am

Hi everybody,

Bought a 1989 360GLT on return from UK to get myself to work in.
Found it on Trademe and fell in love.
Hasn't been smooth sailing though, lots of little bit of work to do. Seems very original, even had the original brochure in the glove box. Been on this site countless times to resolves some troubles so figured why not sign up.
Thanks to all the people who have guided me through my troubles so far and I hope to help out others where I can.

Welcome aboard :)

The advert photos made it look really clean, hopefully it is as good as it appeared.

Any luck on those bearings mate? And when was this one on trademe? Are you on Facebook mate? There's a Volvo page and I'm organizing a years end meet up so for the north islanders. Think we've got 7 or 8 at the moment.

Waikato Bearings can supply bearing only they say the SKF kit is now obsolete? As long as the nut isn't buggered I should be alright. Hoping to start work soon so I have access to a bearing heater and some pullers. Fingers crossed. Yip on Facebook, do you have a page name? Took it for a good blast today liking it more and more the longer I spend in it

Was on trademe the week of the 19th, that's the day I picked it up, Te Awamutu. 2 owners, NZ new in 1989 have the original registration, owners manual, brochures etc. Seems to have been well looked after. No doubt you'll see it someday when I come knocking for parts

Volvo Marketplace (NZ) and she looks really tidy. I just dug out my factory alpine stereo yesterday. Tested it and the screen doesn't seen to work but it powers up fine.
