3D scanning

As a follow up to 3D printing I've now tried out 3D scanning... for the purpose of more 3D printing of course. I need a solid model of the car to design a decent air filter housing.

I used Autodesk Remaker and uploaded 50 photo's of the Engine bay, but I think some of the reflective surfaces confused it alot, looks likes its been the matter transporter in The Fly. Unfortunately it doesn't output anything useful like a 3D pdf that you could rotate.

Apparently scaling is missing unles you pay, maybe I can scale it in tinkercad.

Its just a first attempt but roughly works.

Isn't there something like that in Star Wars ;-? Never saw the film but I get odd reminders on here now and again ;-0
