A long weekend in Flatland

Did not make it to the annual 300 bash (Critch this year) - for a reason -
RJ (Volvomania) aka Born Built Beauties was a standholder at the 2016 Volvo Klassica Beurs at Rosmalen near
S'Hertgenbosch (Netherlands) on the 23rd./24th./25th.Sept. - and Mac (and Mrs.Mac) were on stand duty! (Well my new range of rebuilt carburettors were being launched at the show alongside the now very large range of BBB products.)
So, late Thursday 22nd. A very full XC70 crept onto the Stena Hollandica for a very smooth run to the Hoek Van Holland followed by leisurely drive to our hotel near the show, via Eindhoven, Mrs.Mac P1 in command.
The show (a sort of mini NEC classic car show but for Volvo only) drew a huge range of stall holders and Volvo car clubs with BBB in prime spot next to a major 300 stand - pics will show.
A mild Harwich evening,
The show,

BBB stand
Mac's range of carbs,
Mac frightening away customers,
Volvomania and Mrs.Mac and their "little @ large" act.
Various 300s,
Frightfully civilised weekend - the 300 movement really is alive and well on the continent!
Mac.

Excellent work! The stand looks really good. This explains the random cylinder head collection

The BBB stand at the show would not have been possible if I had not gotten the support of both Mac and his mrs.
At times it was so busy that the three of us were each answering questions.
I only spent about 2 hrs going around and looking at the different stalls (Mac similar) but even for the 300 geek this is a show well worth visiting.
So from the bottom of my heart: Many thanks to Mac and his mrs.
Aymat popped round on the Saturday (was good to see you again) as well many other Dutch and UK enthusiasts (Sion came on Sunday, straight from an intercontinental flight.....).
Perhaps already for your agenda: Next years VKB will be on 23 and 24 September 2017.

We have enjoyed it very much; it was nice to meet you (RJ) after all these years. Excellent to see the Volvo 300-series being cared so much for. Epic work: all these rebuilt carbs and new produced parts by BBB.
V3C also showed you rare samples of some 300 series.

It was nice to meet you as well.
Perhaps, everything going well, you can come with your famous green car next year?
That is if the little gremlins decide to leave it alone for a change

"Is det a rusthole?"

"WOW a green Volvo!"

"Aaah, the steering wheel on the RIGHT side

"

"340 GLT diesel?"

Very Original MY83 360 GLT 14" steelies(only Germany got them?)

My first 340 GL was also light-green-metallic 150.

I feel less bad about my 360 GLT pretending to be original.

Looks like a brilliant show! The 300 series really is a lot more prevalent over there.
I think the 340 diseasel has been fitted with all GLT spec trim and wheels and then someone stuck a GLT badge on the back.
