I'm back!!

Hi, I used to have a 360 GLT which I turbo'd, tested the first LSD in and then sold a few years ago, and regretted big time. I got a 740 saloon and stuck a turbo lump in that and have been dailying it since then. Had a brief stint in a 04 V40 TDI and learned a load of remapping. I recently swapped it for a 1986 340 DL. It's a bog standard 1.4 engine, has a 3.64:1 welded diff and 5-speed box. Absolutely loving being back in a 300, so much so that i'm thinking of selling the 740

Hope this forums still as active as before. I'll probably end up doing a 'build thread'. I've not posted much to the internet so will have to look for somewhere to host my photos but for now here's a link to my instagram account where I tend to post very often.

Edit: here's my old 360 GLT turbo

Greetings back. I remember the name - you used to post a lot, if I recall correctly. Keep up the 340ing. What colour? 5 door?.... Sorry, I see it now, red 3 door. Snap!!!!

I loved your 360 turbo thread! Can't wait to see what you do to the 340, f7r or b18ft?

Cheers guys! I'm u decided. I've got really into EFI so whatever i do the carb isn't staying. First thought was BMW 3l 6 pot tdi but i kinda like the diddy engine at the mo. Been talking about other conversions and stuff but the one i wanna look into a bit is an E7J Renault energy 1.4 on fenix 5 management from a mk1 Clio. As far as i can tell it would bolt straight up to the b14 bellhousing. Because its got no AMM, turbo should be easy. The prop is of course my biggest worry

Edit: Nearly forgot, EPAS is something im planning on this car too!

I just did a plate check and your old 360 is on SORN and MOT expired in 2015, wonder where it is and what is happening to it.

Liking the sound of your plans, bogbasic has epas on his 340.

Ooh no way! thought it hadn't been done yet. Corsa system? I have the column out my old corsa b and a spare 300 column.

I sold it to a lad in Stornorway called Tim. Hope it's still loved :D

Been doing more looking and the K-type renault engines should fit too. So 1.4 and 1.6 16v with cam phasing. Biggest problem being getting the Siemens Management to run without the UCH (body control computer) and associated immobiliser. A cable throttle probably wouldn't be acheivable very easy. I've still not worked out if the heads off an E or K would go on the B14 block, C-Type in renault. Could always pull the K4J (1.4 16v) out a clio 2 / sandero or something and just run the b14 fly, renix for ignition and make a carb inlet, benefit from the 16v and make some crude cam phasing control. But that's not my dream to have a super simple 340 with a super up to date management haha. Could ramble on for hours. I'll try make some kind of build thread and keep my ramblings there haha

hello, I got Easysteer to make the converted column. I just did the removal and fitting so I haven't got a clue how it works, but it does work well on two of mine. They used a corsa motor. Rick at Easysteer is yer man and he might even still have my plans. Its worth getting him to take care with the horn ring placement... That's the only part where we could have done it better but Sugru will correct any miscalculations here.

Hi, cheers I've had a look at the photos on your blog and it all looks familiar to my corsa epas system. Will give him a shout when i get round to starting that bit and see what light he can shed. Will watch for the horn ring placement.

Sorry, its the placement of the plastic mount for the stalk switches and the horn brushes which needed some improvisation.
