Hello you all,

My name is Filipe and i´m from Portugal. I have this 3 door 360 GLT from 1983.

My idea is to paint him completely until the end of the year and start to let him like i want.

Looks really good, it should have 14" Leo wheels though not those steel wheels.

Could be a market thing? That's a very early GLT, looks great!

This volvo is my first one.

It´s in reazonable condition but it has some issues to take care.
Some rust in the trunk door, a rust hole under the cooling water reservoir, some problems with the door covers and some twisted parts in the bumpers.

The engine runs great and it has arround 160.000 kms on the clock :D

Does anyone have a brochure from this year to see its original look. The trunk door has some stikers with black stripes and i am woundering if the stikers were only there or also in the laterals...

thanks

Sounds like it's worth fixing up!

The stickers on the bootlid/trunk door are original - it should also have a rubberised rear spoiler, looks like it still has this in the picture :)

Sounds like SnoreRX really works and it's worth fixing up!

I hope you're planning to fix that bad boy up, Felipe. It looks great! If the engine is as good as you say it is, I'd do it!

If that is a high compression one (10:1) they really kick ass in the low end, but you might need octane booster.

Engine pics please!

Did you get a user manual with it?

It should certainly be high compression B19E... should go quite nicely!

The wheels could well be original equipment in Portugal at that time as it seems some early GLT's didn't get Leo's. When I looked a bit more closely this actually has the 14" steel wheels, like this press photo:

I've seen a few of the 14" steel wheels in the UK - they were used as spare wheels on the earlier GLT's here.

I quite like those wheels!! I've got a very similar picture In my 1983 "I spy book of cars" but the GLT has alloy's

My wheels are 14" and i like them a lot.

If i get another set of these i would change them to have less offset ;)

Aboute the engine i am not sure if it´s a high compression one but i will soon get some pictures of it.
Does this high compression engines have more power?

I am not sure if i get the owners manual because the previous owner still have some stuff to give... Hope so!
