Spam via Private Message - BEWARE

Post by Paula » 19 Sep 2018 10:38 pm

I have just received a private message in a foreign language with a link to a dodgy website.

I hope that I have not been hacked.

The member is online now and has not posted yet.

His name is Mindypausy

Yes, we're getting a bit of spam at the moment in the General Discussion and thanks for the tip-off about private messaging, too. Perhaps the forum administrators can sort it and delete the iffy posts. Reminds me of a Hyundai forum which I used to frequent - it became neglected and the last time I looked it had pictures of people trying to have babies on it. By the way, whereabouts in Surrey are you ;-?

I've been reporting it but nothing seems to happen about it

User banned.

The issue is that we don't receive notification of post and PM reports. I've raised that with the admin.

In the meantime, do PM one of us. Look for the "the team" link down at the bottom.

Thanks!

cheers
