Use a spanner and unsrew the extendable part of the ariel form the pivoting base! This should be all that is needed!

car wash

Post by mgarageu » 18 Jun 2004 12:24 pm

newer wash stations do not use brushes any more, simply lots of moving high-pressure water injectors...radio antenna must be removed, sure...

I put my car into washing machine tomorrow. It only sprays water, no brushes. Car is not very dirty from top, only dusty.

Then I take brush that is used to wash dishes and I clean wheel arches from inside. There is very much of dirt because I drove trough road repair area month ago. It was gravel with oil used in tarcmac and man it was sticky. Everything in bottom and below of car is covered with that stuff, grrr.

Well no, for a good polish, the car must be VERY clean. And at this time I don't want to wash the car because i have rust problems that I need to treat before! But I'm forgiven by my Volvo because for the 20th birthday in March I gave a lot of presents: a genuine Volvo radio CR 603 with the 4 Volvo speakers :P , new seatbelts for the rear passengers and so on...

Don't trust car washing machines. Even I bought power wash that costs 8.70 euros, I did not got clean car. Look at that rag below, I took few sweeps from fresh washed hood :(
