My first 300 series...
Morning all. I have had numerous Volvo’s over the last twenty odd years, but I am in the process of purchasing a 340 1.4 CVT auto GL with only 44k on the clock. The car is literally a time-warp example - absolutely no rust and full history. At £1200 I don’t believe it’s over-priced. However, I have obviously never had a CVT before. I am test driving the car today, so is there anything I should look out for? Are they difficult to service and repair? I am located in Cheshire near Chester- is there anyone local with the expertise to work on this, or would an “expert” not be required? Are the parts for the CVT available? Many thanks.

Hi mate and welcome.
Car looks a cracker. I have only ever had manual ones
but all the usual service bits are still well available.
Cheers Mark.

CVT specific parts can still be found at Volvo 300 specialists at reasonable prices.
