I've done something crazy.... in NZ

Post by Nudibranch » 15 Jun 2021 11:06 pm

Soooo.... Hello everybody.
Just joined the forum as I've just taken ownership of a 1990 Volvo 360 GLT here in NZ.
Second owner. Service history and excellent cond. interior. The guy selling was the original lady owners son. Pretty happy with it. The wife... not so much.
She'll come around I'm sure. Haven't had a chance to take her for a burn yet. Our 6 year old daughter just cracked up laughing and instantly tried getting into the drivers seat when she saw it.
Bit of a Volvo enthusiast. The daily is a '06 S60r and the wife has the '07 V50.
"Reliving my youth" I keep telling wifey as I learnt to drive in a '87 360. I'm kicking myself now with hindsight as that one was white, had air con and black leather interior. I didn't know how special that car was at the time but still have some valuable memories and experiences from that one.
Hopefully this one doesn't bankrupt me but hey. It's cheaper (so far) than a Porsche.
Anyway, always happy for advice and hot tips. Happy to be here and look forward to chatting further.

Cheers! :360:

Epic work. From looking at all the trim colours, it looks properly 'murdered out' which is unusual for Volvo;-0

It looks like a normal 360 GLT. It's almost all we got here.

Coolio. The 360's I've seen have painted bumpers and a chrome surround on the radiator grill. Most of the 340's had black bumpers here and on later models more and more of the other chrome trim went black!

It needs a bumper insert. PM me your address and I can pop one in the post.

Or i could drop a bumper insert off when i'm over those ways in a week or two, unless you come to Tokoroa or Tauranga at all O.P.?

Your climate looks heavenly - semi-tropical in the middle of winter. Bet the 300's don't mind either.
