Crikey guys, that thing is years old. As far as I'm aware, it runs a modified 960 drivetrain, with (as Fuse rightly says) a T6 motor up front. I believe the guy who built it was a Volvo employee, but it's not an official concept car at all.

He's now building a new version featuring the new Yamaha/Volvo V8 :D

It's a Plymouth Prowler anyway ;)

cheers

From http://www.prowleronline.com/story.php
January 2001
The Plymouth Brand Prowler ends Production with a total of 8,527 Prowlers being built (7,929 US, 488 Canada, 110 pilots). The last Plymouth Prowler is Orange and owned by Mike Krehel who invited the CAAP workers to sign their names around the undercarriage and other areas not visible (like behind the door panels). The breakdown by color can be found in the "Facts And Stats" section. The Prowler production continues under the Chrysler brand name.
:P

Ok, next challenge....hands up if you've seen one in real life.

sm15

You wouldn't believe how huge it is...it gives the impression of being a cute little thing, but it's massive.

That or a 3CC..... awww, I can't choose that!

Thats like choosing between... between... I dunno, although this one almost looks.... geeky... if you get what I mean.

Whereas the 3CC just looks like if you argue with it, it WILL break both your kneecaps, and then you families ones too.

It was shown at SEMA by Volvo (North America), but not as a concept car...just as a show-off / promotional car. A friend from iPd had his 'R' powered XC70 on show by Volvo at SEMA too...

If I took some time to engage my brain, I did I actually know that...it was shown with the engine cover off in the same series of pics as the V8 was unveiled. Duh!
