340 or 360, or something else?

Which of these should I get as my daily driver to replace my 850 (bearing in mind I'd quite like to see an increase in fuel economy if possible... not that that's the most important thing

)

I've voted 360GLS... economical on long runs and I do rather like GLS's!

I voted for the 340, because it wont become pink!
and if it's a 1700, bonus!

1984 340 = 1.4
1.4 > 1.7 for what it is...
The 1.4 wont be *much* more economical than the GLS and besides, you already have a 340 3 door
If the red is that dark metallic burgandy too... bonus

I rate the 75 too - brutal looking car, and with a v6 & veloce spec, pretty brutal to drive too! Gearboxes break, electrics are a nightmare, and bits fall off though...
I voted something else - a 360GLT. And after having had both mk3's and mk2's, I rate the mk2's more (just personal preference).
If I was really worried about fuel economy I'd consider a volvo 400 diesel

360 GLS - can't tell you why, maybe because mine is a '84 360 GLS saloon too ... maybe because of this
I just love the GLS series

360 GLT naturally
If I must buy somekind of daily driven car i would buy Lada (dont laugh..) because they works just like switch watches, starts no matter what weather and those are just fun to drive in Finnish winter

360gls, if you want a daily driver and what do you mean
340 or 360, or something else?
there is nothing else so go and wash your mouth out
and write volvo for life 100 times

Totally agree with you Mick. I voted 360 as 5 doors are easier to live with, but...
...since you don't have yours any more, someone around here should have one of these

I'm afraid my Citroen days are over for the moment. An AX, 5 2CVs, a Xantia and an XM estate is plenty.
I find it very interesting that Mk.2 300s are substantially cheaper to insure than Mk.3s - there's virtually no difference between an '84 340 or 360 (£130 vs. £139) but the best I can get on a 1.7 340 is about £360! Maybe they're becoming classics after all
