An another day off the work...
For me it means an another day with the Volvo. So I woke up this morning and decided to garb a screw driver and started my very own Anti-Rust Project.
I took off the rust first with the screwdriver and then with sandpaper.
Then I used a brush to put on a layer of zinc based paint. After it had dryed I painted the spots white with brush again.
The result:
As you can see, I'm a lousy painter... but it still looks better than in the morning.
You can check out the rest of the pictures I took @

You took a very good decision this morning!
Just a suggestion: don't forget that some of your rust problems mean internal rust problems... Your external treatment is good but if you do nothing inside the 'closed' places, rust will appear again very quick... For example here: (for the doors it's ok)

i've got the right colours to match, just not the time to sand and apply extra coats, so my car is currently a white 'matt' colour. oops

i usually use smoothrite where it can be seen, hammerite when out of sight.you dont need primer and a small tin goes a long way if a good brush is used.no good for some people as colour range is not good and im not sure if it would mix, suppose it should tho. like most things the preperation is most important.
