Volvo 300 in GB: the best equipement as well as engine

Post by GLT_vario_driver » 29 Dec 2003 04:33 pm

What a good idea to
extend this forum to our english speakers friends.
Even if, the british society suffers from the consumption market, there must be some
"mohicans" there fighting the massive destruction of the volvo 300 in great britain.
Moreover, english friends, be aware that you have had far more equipements than us and you
can find easily some 360 GLT.
Lucky dog!

Thank you Mister GLTvariodriver for your comment. I also think that this is a
good initiative and I'm waiting for the new members. The only problem now is maybe a loss of
facility to use the website and a little loss of identity (I mean we were glad about the fact that it
was the FIRST website in french concerning the 300 series, it will disappear a little bit...) But
it's not a big problem...

It's not an issue at all it's just the development of volvo300mania.
Born last summer and has undergone a spectacular developpment and now is the time for an
international developpment. We remember 2 weeks ago Karim Gzouli in touch with this
website and moreover the guestbook contains quite a few english native speakers. Hopefully
they will come again in this forum.
And a message to them. Do not be shy. LOL. We are french or belgian but part of our
knowledge comes from the Haynes book and we could make a good cooperation in our fight
against massive destruction of the few Volvo 300 that remain on the road of the world.

I'm not sure rust is such a serious problem. After all, the
youngest cars are now 12 years old, and there's only a few serious spots on these cars. They
can be repaired by a good welder. The real problem is, the cars aren't worth that much, so
everyone buys a car without the rust and scraps a rusted one.
Compare this to an MGB or a Volvo 544, for example. They are completely rebuilt from total
wrecks, because the car is worth more.
If you care for the car, Dinitrol it thourougly, it will stand the weather and the salt without a
problem.
