Thanks guys! I'm very happy it runs!

Today I ordered 60mm exhaust pipe and bends. Hope I can finish the exhaust soon, but I need a welder (again)

Allright, the downpipe is ready. I'm making three separate parts; the downpipe, midpipe and enddamper.

The downpipe:

I used three bends for the downpipe, and I need two for the midpipe, I have only one anymore. Tomorrow I'll get another bend.

Made the first testdrive today.

Not interresting, but the proof:

Have to change the turbo, because its dead. Used a bad turbo for welding etc. And yes its bad.. :]

Hi Frits !!

It looks cool... but, I see you haven't a flexpipe in the downpipe ! Adding a flex garantize you that the DP not crack by vibrations or engine movement

I've no experiences in longitudinal turbonizations, but in VWs ( that is what I know a bit more ) a downpipe without a flex don't last more than a few kilometers !

I've asked some people. They said it isn't necessary with a engine placed in the length.

However, if it cracks, i still can put some flexibel part in between. We'll see how long it'll last.

Awesome work frits! What's the plan for that car once the engine is finished... will it be kept looking the same or some derusting?

lol :]

derusting yes :]

Don't know ecaxtly what look i'll go for. A sheep looking drifter is not cool I think..

Maybe some R-sport look..
Maybe some compleet different
Probably I'll still don't know.

Gonna work on the suspension, diff and all technical stuff first.

And most important thing; make it reliable

Fixt the "new" turbo, wastegateactuator and dumpvalva. Made a testdrive under boost. For the first time. yeah, wheelspin wheelspin and wheelspin.

Need to look at:

-acceleration jet

-gauges, oiltemp and turbopressure don't work.

-fix the leaks in the turboheader

- MOT

Making the 343 MOT ready.. The manifold is perfect. No leaking anymore. Spooling from turbo is amazing now.. A half bar pressure by flooring the pedal without driving..

I runs sooo great.. I needs finetuning, but that will come after MOT. Damn, I love my creation. I wanna hit the road!

Some little bracket for the turbo

It runs great! Except for idling, but that would not be hard to fix.
