He starts driving at near 4 minutes, marvelous sound from that Renault engine, considering it is only 4 banger after all
There was part 2 also

It starts full throttle right away.

Well if you like to get more cylinders...

But fitting those to 360 engine room might be bit too much work and price may be bit high too, also with T5 engine it is not very easy
Anyway I'm currenly put my car on sale, limited time offer 700€, maybe I get someday something that sounds better

Now this is Volvo not any Volkswagen or Pimped Wolkswagen(porsche) so engine should be where it is in normal cars
Nah, I may get Audi quattro perhaps in future, or then if car won't sell then just keep this one sitting at parking lot

Too civilized sound for my liking...

It's missing turbo and wastegate sounds, sounds of antilag system and all kinds of brutal crazy noices.

Cars should be brutal.
This is how I like it

Or Group-B rally cars.. Best sounds ever.

There was only bad idle sound, full throttle sound or turbo whine could not be even heard because of bad recording
But I know that it is possible to make Volvo engine to sound close to same as my first video, just would need some work to get that done, intake+exhaust manifolds and some other things needed perhaps, but that might be it.

1st one is again so bad quality recording that engine note is quite totally lost
S2000 has really good sound but finding recording with good quality is next to impossible, usually there is music or wind noise or then something like this totally disorted recording.
Here is however rather ok quality recording of S2000 sound, even in this you can't really hear all, maybe 40% of sound is lost, it is really awesome in reallife:

Those s2000's really are a technical work of art. 240 bhp from a na 2.0 4 cilinder is crazy. Love to have one of those.... or not, I would probably kill myself.

Yeah recording was crappy..
I'd like to know how one of these would sound:

It's the 16V R-Sport engine's civil version. Conversion kit was available for a lot of money..

You could have gotten many smaller cars back then with just alone the price of the R-Sport conversion kit.
Very nice engine still though. 205-225hp@6900rpm, 225Nm@5400rpm Those are great numbers from the naturally aspirated 2.3 litre engine from the 80's with sidedraft carbs.

It's not your normal Volvo's naturally aspirated engine, it says in the text that there was a power boost at 4000rpm and after that it started to really pull.
Though that GTX model's performance was ruined with a crappy gear box ratios.. GTX had 4.88 diff ratio so Volvo's stock gearbox ratios didn't work quite well with that. Stock Turbo was allmost fasster in some areas because of those crappy ratios..
