Well, that sounds like a great car, only two problems, first they don't sell it in here and second is that even if they would sell it in here, I would have no money for one.

And I thought that it is some fwd thing some time ago  Well, mistake is fixed, that is now number 1 car of these modern cars from my opinion :D

Really, why would someone buy a Volvo T-somethingwhen you can get this kind of real thing ?

It does indeed seem a very cool car. Pity they stopped selling them here :( Luckily they may be bringing a new one here in the next 12 months :)

Uh, indeed, that murano is something that should never been invented. One can't be called man if he buys one of those murano things, or any other of those things that look like handbag of old lady, can take more weird stuff inside and generally look like being designed by Tupperware ladies.

No, car's look have to be such that 90% of womans would never accept such a thing to their day dream worlds, car should smell oil and gasoline and sound should be like it would tear tarmac from slightest reason or no reason at all. Well, at least that is what I like from my day dream car in my day dream world

Actually the monaro VXR is really an HSV GTO down here in Aus. And that guy is full of it when he said the interior is rubbish

Oh yer their are no plans for a VE based Monaro

Yes, well I don't understand those journalists when they say interior quality sucks, that seem to mean that there is no 12 cup holders with whistles and bells more than real quality.

Also they seem to like somewhat clinical dashboard setting that has no possibility to hold any things anywhere else than in glove box that of course should have warming and cooling, geez.

I have developed kind of filter for such things so I usually don't even notice them anymore :D

There is just so many great things in down under, no wonder there is so many finns, really you get these great proper cars, there is usually quite warm and you really can't stay outside most of day because radiation from sun
But If I get money, I really have to visit there some day :)

its really too bad that murano is so @*&&@%^ ugly...

the technology inside is great... its one of the first seriously powerful cars with CVT drive!!

these transmissions are Bosch/VDT CVT's, so laminated steel belt.

The only problem with Commodore's and Falcon's is that (until VERY recently) their technology level has been average at best. Even the newer engines are pretty lame compared to most of your Euro or Jap cars.

Not that having 4 or 6 litres going through the rear end with no (well, maybe a little) traction controll to speaking isnt fun, but if your complaining about the 360's fuel economy dont even think about buying one of these.

Build quality is pretty good really. Especially when you consider that they are made buy Aussie's. The biggest beer drinkers per capita of any country in the world. It really does explain the sideways tendancy of the cars

I suppose one plus is that they are cheap(ish). But they are exactly that. Cheap.

You wont find too many in good condition in 15 years time.

Feel free to start flaming me now. I grew up on swedish cars and as such, have a small dislike for Aussie slow-mobiles..... Anything that needs a 4litre displacement to go as fast as others can with 2.5litres isnt good.

Well, thats my rant for the day

Cheers

If you want economical get a Japanese car :)

The monaro is also sold as the Pontiac GTO in the US. If I got one, I think I'd get some of those badges from the US and put on it:)

Old technology = positive thing
Unnecesarily big engine = positive thing

If I would have money for such car, I certainly would have money for gas, I just like full engines, can't help it, I live in 80's still ;)

But I certainly would badge Pontiac with Aussie badges, I dnn't like US products...
