Argh, not having a good week :( Gits... Hopefully we'll be able to give you a hand in getting your car back up to scratch shortly. Can't think of a redline breaking atm though...

That must be highly frustrating to say the least. What a nasty society we live in today. Another 300 owner falling victim to mindless vandalism. Although the cars are old, people are damaging them not out if spite like keying a new car, more for the fact they think no one will care about it. Well, Volvohoodwatch needs to be started as I suggested to John when his was vandalised. In other words, they get a kicking if seen damaging a Volvo, or for that matter, anyones car.

That sucks! At least if you can get the manifold sorted the car will still be driveable with the dodgy door though.

A bit of a result then with the manifold. I hope you do catch the ****er that damaged the Redline. Trouble is it's more than likely a random attack, and it'll probably be someone elses car instead next time.

Hmmmm, a right ar****le in the area somewhere then. Good luck in catching them, there is just no need for it. How would they feel if something they had worked for, spent their money on and looked after was mindlessly wrecked just for the fun of it. Bet they'd hate it. Lets just hope I never come across anyone causing such damage. Scum of the earth.

its quite easy to get to the inside of the door skin, might be worth trying to push the dent back out yourself - the key is to use something with a very soft end, so as not to cause 'spots'. i managed to get snoweys door to look reasonable with a crowbar :D

Good advice Hugh. There are a lot of gaps inbetween the safety structures to get to it to push it back out. Which door is it our of interest, as I may have a drivers door in the right colour available if you need it. It wouldn't be hard to get a stripe made up to go on it to match the redline one.

Hugh's right, you might be able to pull/push most of the dings back out again, but good news on the manifold.

Get a new gasket and downpipe, preferably from the dealer as they'll fit better and last longer, and won't be too expensive....and then I'm sure we'll be able to sort you out fitting it.

I've been told to use a car innertube-place in required posn using something at the back to "push against" and use your electric thingy to inflate.

In theory it should pop out offending dint or over inflate and put your eye out  -might be worth a try though-good luck.
It would appear the reg is quite appropriate, have you noticed a change in your general mood since purchase?
