Hello! Due to the lack of working Volvo-ness at the moment, I have a problem - I have a (small, 10-ft-long) caravan in storage near Windsor that I need to get moved down to near Portsmouth (RG42 to SO32). I'm losing my storage here in the next 10 days or so (friends moving out of their house on the 9th Dec at the latest), and I need to get my caravan moved.

I'm trying to sort out getting hold of an alternative tow car, but I've had no luck so far. Is there anyone around who'd be interested in helping me out with this? I'm willing to pay for the help, it's just it's something I can't do at the moment.

The caravan weighs about 700kgs, so it's not a huge one by any means...

I might be able to help you out. I've got a 360 with a towbar, and I live in NW London, but I'm not free this weekend. I should be free next weekend though. Is that gonna be too late?

Thanks for the offer, pettaw. I'm going to see if I can organise anything sooner, because their last day in the house is the 9th, so I'd rather get the caravan out of their way & off their list before then, but I'll come back to you.

Hmm OK, well actually my 'busy' this weekend involves possibly passing through Portsmouth on Friday night. Do you need taking back to Windsor? Cos if so then I probably can't do it, but I might be able to sort something out on Friday (tomorrow) night to leave it there continuing on my way to Devon..
