In praise of pettaw

Good morning all. Won't be a moment, just got something to say:
As you guys might know from my recent posts, I've been having car trouble for the last couple of weeks. My original reason for getting a 300-series was to tow the caravan I was given earlier in the year. Once I bought my 340, I stumbled across this place. When the 340 failed its MOT, I 'obtained' a 360 through this forum (thanks Andy!), and I've been asking silly questions ever since, which you guys have patiently answered. Yesterday, I have to say, one of us went one better.
As you may know from other posts, I have had a problem recently, as the car (temporarily, I hope!) died the evening before I was due to remove my caravan from storage at a friend's house (who are moving out this weekend) and take it down from Windsor to storage near Portsmouth. Last night, the wonderful pettaw from this forum drove to me, drove to the caravan a couple of miles away, drove back home because I'd forgotten my keys (
), back to the caravan, then calmly towed the caravan over a range of roads from M-way to single-track country nightmare to the storage place, then gave me & my wife a lift home. We got back here about midnight, and I don't know what time he got home, but it was 150+ miles of driving I believe, 60-odd of it with an old caravan in tow, and was nothing but helpful for the whole 6 hours or so it took to do it all. And bear in mind I'd never been in contact with him before until I posted asking for help.
What a nice guy!!
Just wanted to give him a mention. That's all!!
