Don't blame you for asking - this weather is bloody awful!! Are you getting a different sticker for Grace, similar to Nessy's?

The etched look can look quite good. I was thinking of getting something done, but not sure. Can the guy on ebay make them on request using vector images?

vector images??

i think he basically whacks a bmp into his pc, sizes it then uses some random machiney thing to cut the letters - i'm not sure thou. have a hunt - there's loads of people on there doing this kinda thing..

what image are you after?

Vector images are a graphic format, instead of using pixels to make up the image, the computer calculates the different areas etc that makes up the overall picture. Mainly only good for simple text/graphics, but can be scaled up without losing quality.

I might be after the Freak Kitchen logo, some strange swedish rock band that I like... www.freakkitchen.com. Yellow might be a bit bright though!

I'll have a look, how much did your other sticker cost?

I can convert the BMP into a vector image and edit it, or trace it using a graphics tablet. I don't think the original BMP image of the logo would scale up enough for a sticker.

£8 is very good.. thats a pretty huge sticker too!

Didn't mean to sound patronising with the vector stuff... I just read it back and it didn't read to well!

ah dont worry about it - i'm sure lots of peeps on here wouldnt know

do you think that would scale up well for an entire rear window? i only ask cos it'd fill the whole screen.. also.. sticking thin bits of vynal down is an arse.

If the image you start off with can be vectorised well, or if you make something from scratch it would scale fine to fill a rear screen.

When I looked before most places making vinyl graphics wanted the image in vector format, rather than bitmap. Atleast I think so...

haha.. Mattias IA Eklundh is a superb guitarist, has a very distinctive technique that goes really well with the band! I don't actually know if he plays totally fingerstyle though!

Pretty good band though, I'm looking forward to the new album.. pity that no-one has ever heard of them in the UK, and they never tour here!
