Only trouble is when you alter the tyre sizes you also alter the speedo accuracy :? Would be nice to see what the actual speed is, but certainly very fast getting there.

So is this only through altering overall rolling diameter of wheels + tyres (obviously lighter wheels too) or in conjunction with altering final drive ratios?

Awesome car, considering making mine pull a bit quicker once handling is setup right.

Well... I haven't a single topic which I can update like a 'Project topic', so... I'll update this 8)

The car was stored since July or so due to very different issues... Not time enough for it, troubles with international shippings, etc...

The last I made for the car was to chop the stock springs and fit some cheapos dampers from Ebay ---> Catastrophic. Car runs million times worse that in stock form...

I bought some stuff from Dai and parts here and there. Is now when I start to fit everything !

Due to the lowness, I'd hit a bump with the ARB, bend the crossmember and break the ARB balljoints ! A visit to my local scrap and pick new items ! Add some polybushes from Dai and go !

Image

I think those fasteners need a reshape after the hit...

Image

Half and hour later... Fitted !

Haha !! You see the Trabitom's AC compressor !

I've tested it with a ride around my house... But, 2000 light years better !! MOT is expired, and It have alot of work until rolling again !

In a while another update...

Cheers !!

The upgrade include Classicswede front springs too to throw faaar away the chopped ones... I use my old Gabriel gas dampers, I'm not very confident about the r-sports I bought recently in Ebay. I'll take them to a 'shocks dyno' to test...

Image

Directly to the bin !

Image

Wow, the stance is the same that before ! You'll see the light very soon, baby !!

Image

The operation was surprisingly quick, thanks in part to a new balljoint splitter  ( 25 EUR best spend of the year ! )

I decided then to raise the bonnet a bit... Some extra cooling is good when you spend 1 hour of abuse in 2nd gear ! Very easy, just adding some nuts and washers to bonnet retains and a longer stud !

This is the result, and first light of the day since July... Dirty, with headlight's crosses hanging...

Image

Poly bushes were sight from miles ahead !!

Image

The following the rear side... New oil for box and diff, a new welded one, lowering plates and Spax adjustables !

That's all folks ! Greetz from Spain !

yours is definitely one of my favourite looking 300's! especially with those wheels 8)

What seems wrong with the r-sport dampers off of ebay? (are they for a 1.4 340?)
