An age old debate

Post by garethreece » 22 Oct 2007 11:09 am

At the risk of getting beaten up by the cousin

I was in the pub and following a bit of maths (checked the next morning  ) we realised that out of all of the people my age that

3 girls have written their cars off off (and 1 bike) Yet only 1 lad has (and put it this way, I'm amazed he stayed sober long enough to pass his test :!: )

So does this (unscientific) study prove that young males arent always the most dangerous drivers? all the girls were in one car accidents so no outside involvement.

And only 2 of them are on the road :(

in my experience, girls have more accidents, but generally theyre small, th cars still driveable, and no one gets hurt (car park dings, hitting wheelie bins and pish like that) blokes on the other hand manage impeccably for years but when they do have an accident its BIG

Wouldn't it be that boys and girls have the same amount of accidents (boys driving their cars into girls'? But the difference being blokes mostly drive decent cars and girls always pick smarts and cinqs?

Love to add some heat to a hopeless discussion

Well the girls were in

Ford Ka
Renault Clio mk1
Ford Fiesta ( 52 plate  )

and they were write offs, the lad was in a saxo (as I said p*sshead so he is an anomally)

On the size of accidents, again it seems to be even, lots of dings on both sides (thats just inexperience for the most part  ) and my ding was caused by someone driving into me (and not a write off so not in these stats)

Ahhh but YOU drive a decent car! (at least, I think VOLVO is THE one brand that could be labeled decent...) The others... fiestas, saxos...

I rest my case

Generally an idiot (or unlucky) driver is an idiot (or unlucky) driver - male or female! And as if I'd beat you up...there are far better ways to get revenge without leaving any marks.....
