WHACK!!

Yep. I crashed it.

I came up a fairly busy road and could see there were roadworks and heavy queues up ahead. Seeing a supermarket carpark next to me, I turned right to turn around. In the car park I swung her around and, failing to notice, a trolley park appeared in my path and I hit the brakes at the point where I didn't need to: when the car had already jolted to a stop with a sickening thud.

She needs a new bumper, grille and number plate. There is a horrible dent on the bonnet too but apparently that can be repaired.

No pics I'm afriad cos I carted it off to the garage straight away.

Thanks for all your replies!

She is repaired now. The garage was unable to get any new parts except a radiator and said I'd have to get them myself (not a problem I hope).
Considering the state of the bumper on the night of the crash, I'm actually pretty amazed, the only evidence it's been bumped is a fairly inconspicuous dent. The grille has been fixed back on in two parts and secured in place with plastic strips, and the bonnet has been filled and painted. Deadly seriously, it looks like nothing happened to it.

I just need another bumper strip now. Found the other one at the crash site but one's missing. Anyone have a spare one?

That would be great, mate. How much you want for the pair?

Thanks a lot for your concerns. As a (more serious) crash victim, I'm sure you know how I felt. LOL
