Hi there

I originally posted this in the NEC Classic car show thread but thought I'd copy it here for more people to see

N E W S F L A S H!

Volvo Heritage has recently moved the following models from the storage facility at Nedcar (the Volvo factory in Born) to Goteborg for restoration ahead of display in the Volvo museum

340 Estate (volvo300club.nl displayed this recently)

340 Coupe ("Volvo in Holland" book published when Nedcar closed gives the history of Volvo in Holland and shows prototypes, project cars and has a sketch of a 340 coupe. it didnt mention one was built!

340 cabriolet

440 estate

480 cabrio - red prototype, the second of two built. First one is blue/purple and was displayed at the Paris Motor Show.

These cabriolets are Volvo built unlike the EBS conversions available in Belgium - such conversions dont have roll over bar.

Maybe others but they may still be too secret eg the V30 based on first generation S40/V40, the S40R developed by TWR, Volvos city car (like an Audi A2, Smart car)

I originally heard 10 cars were moved......

there were pictures of the estate on here somewhere ,

I actually quite like it its quirky and as someone else said it would look a lot better with decent alloys

Cabrio

Volvo Tundra, Bertone design of a Coupe version of the 343. Later they sold this design to Citroen, who based the BX on it!

This should have been a cross of 343 and 242->243

yes that estate is erm.. different. I wonder if it would have been a flop or success if it they would have put it in production.

Weird stuff! I recently saw a 400 estate for sale in Germany recently - was surprisingly cheap and looked not too bad ...

Something like this:

the cabrio is nice but a bit like a chevette saloon and the yellow one looks like a talbot horizon with a marina front end
