Sold the GL

Post by Fuse » 30 Dec 2007 10:14 pm

Probably the quickest sale ever. I put it for sale on this Finnish car sales site, http://www.nettiauto.com/home.php?sitelang=1 this morning and few hours ago guy 40km away called if he could come and check the car out. Now it's sold. :P

Guy was a welder in profession so he didn't check much the body, I told him it is what it is, not in the best condition. He said it's no prob, he's got two of his own cars under work currently too.. He did a quick test drive and paid in cash.

We had the car since -96, if I would've had the equipment and space to keep and fix it I wouldn't have sold it but the body was beginning to be in so bad condition that there's no point having it welded by someone else every year just to get it through MOT..

Well it served well, never one single problem in the engine side or with electronics.. And still beated most of the common newer cars out there. Only if the body would've not rotted.

Must be a sad day to see a car go that you've had so long, however it seems to have gone to a competent person who can hopefully restore it to its former glory.

Its always sad to see a good car go but at least it appears to have gone to a good home.
